Well, it seems you’re forcefully interpreting meekness to justify the second amendment… No, I don’t think you “get” it. The way I see it, meekness is about remaining open, like children, to learn and question the paradigms we were raised with.
The true meaning of all of these passages, especially the one about who will “inherit the Earth”, is simply this. Each one of your cells is composed of trillions of atoms, and your body is composed of trillions of cells. Did you think this logic stops there? Absolutely not. Each human being is ONE cell in a global organism which we are far from imagining. And the simple teachings from Jesus like “love thy neighbor” is simply just how each and every cell in your body behaves. If our cells behaved like us, you wouldn’t stay alive very long. Wars=an autoimmune disease (like if your liver went to war with your pancreas). The current financial system? Like cancer: degenerate cells which suck up all bodily resources and multiply uncontrollably. The ones who will “inherit” the Earth, are the ones that understand and behave like one cell inside a collective, global organism. The rest? Well, just think of what happens to the placenta when a baby is born. I hope you understand that this is what “rapture” and the apocalypse is really about. There will be a “separation” between those who stay in Hell (an Earth where indeed, people will shoot each other in a post-apocalyptic world) and those who go to Heaven (an Earth where a certain part of humanity acts as ONE). We have grown inside Mother Earth’s womb, and now, it is time for us to be born. Heaven, is exactly where our own cells are. Think about it: each cell gets exactly the amount of energy/nutrients needed to do whatever it is meant to do. Our cells are in Heaven, and Heaven is our own body to them. And we will be in our “own” Heaven when we start behaving just like our own cells.
Luke 17:21 King James Version
“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
