Well, in that respect you are right. Just like our body cells don’t need to “know” that they are a part of a global organism, and don’t need to understand what we are, so too, we don’t need to understand what we are a part of or what is “above” us. The Golden rule, as you say, is definitely sufficient. If you think about it, that is exactly the way our cells behave: they don’t “judge” other cells that do not act like them, the play their part flawlessly at every moment, they don’t attack one another… they live in peace, harmony and love. When they fail to do so we can it a disease, cancer etc.

As for us, some people need to understand how this universe functions, others are happy to live with not knowing. And that’s ok. Because the “end result” is no different. :-)
